Training Treats
When training your puppy, I mainly use little puppy training treats. I break them in half to make them go farther too!
To increase puppy’s focus, I also mix in some higher-reward treats. That way they never know if they’ll get a regular reward or an extra tasty one, and will be more inclined to focus and work with me!
If your puppy is less food-driven, I will have them “work” for their meals by using their kibble as treats, and sometimes I will have to just use higher-level rewards.
When your puppy goes home, it can be best to keep using the treats they are familiar with for a little while. It can help the transition of cues from my home to yours!
Here’s a list of the treats that I have found to work best in puppy training!
Most of these treats are too large to use as single rewards – I break them into much smaller pieces to make them go farther!
